About Dallas Rowing Club
The Dallas Rowing Club boathouse is located on Shorecrest drive at Bachman Lake just north of the Love Field Airport. The purpose of the club is to promote the sport of rowing to the people of Dallas and surrounding communities with special attention to youth.
Sculling (sliding seat rowing with an oar in each hand) and sweep rowing (sliding seat rowing with both hands on one oar), are both pursued a the Dallas Rowing Club through recreational and competitive rowing.
Membership is open to qualified rowers who can demonstrate their rowing proficiency to a designated senior member of the club. An ample number of shells of various types are available for use by club members.

The club is governed by a board of elected members which meets monthly.
The club sponsors one regatta annually: The spring regatta held in May is a 1000 meter sprint (Bachman Lake Annual Sprint Trials). The regattas include Junior, Open and Masters events.
Social activities include evening Moon Rows for informal racing, and the annual Christmas Party.
